Kamden Raastad

Meet Kamden Raastad, a senior whose high school story is filled with diverse experiences. Whether conquering the baseball field or harmonizing in the Mixed Choir, Kamden's journey goes beyond the classroom. As graduation beckons, his narrative is one of resilience, passion, and the pursuit of success.

For Kamden, Multimedia class with Mr. Sam Williams stands out as an unforgettable experience. The class was not just educational, but also incredibly fun, thanks to the engaging teaching style of Mr. Williams.

Kamden has actively participated in the school community through his involvement in baseball and the Mixed Choir. One of his most cherished extracurricular moments was getting his first hit of the season, marking a significant achievement on the baseball field.

Beyond school, Kamden helps in his community, volunteering at his local church. He was particularly passionate about environmental initiatives, participating in projects like cleaning up the lake.

Overcoming the challenge of bad grades in freshman year showcases Kamden's resilience and determination to succeed.

While Kamden's immediate plans include further education, he envisions a successful future that involves financial prosperity and “a girlfriend hopefully.” 

Outside of the classroom, Kamden is a sports enthusiast, with a keen interest in college football, NFL, MLB, and even the gaming world, specifically enjoying Fortnite. Kamden's musical tastes lean towards The Weeknd, showcasing his appreciation for music.

A unique note in Kamden's composition is his left-handedness, a subtle yet distinctive aspect adding a touch of individuality to his persona. In passing on advice to incoming freshmen, Kamden’s words are simple but powerful: "Lock in and focus up."

Kamden expresses his gratitude with a special shout-out to his mom for her unwavering support throughout his high school journey. In closing, Kamden leaves a poignant message for the school community and future generations: "It comes fast." A reminder to cherish every moment and make the most of the high school experience.

Julia Mauszycki

Julia Mauszycki, has consistently achieved excellence throughout her high school years, earning a place on the Honor Roll and becoming a proud member of the National Honor Society (NHS).

Mr. Breikreutz's class holds a special place in Julia's heart, thanks to Morty and unforgettable Bio 2 dissections. The engaging environment fostered by Mr. Breikreutz made the class memorable and impactful.

Julia's high school journey extended beyond academics, actively participating in various clubs and sports teams. Her dedication was evident in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, NHS, and JO volleyball.

Julia took on a leadership role, guiding the volleyball team to a successful year. The highlight was a memorable victory against Parker, showcasing her determination and teamwork. Starting her journey in volleyball stands out as a significant milestone for Julia, marking the beginning of her passion for the sport.

Looking ahead, Julia envisions pursuing a nursing career while showcasing her athletic prowess as she joins Dakota Wesleyan University's volleyball team. In five years, Julia sees herself contributing to the healthcare field with a nursing job at Avera, reflecting her commitment to making a positive impact on others' lives.

Outside of school, Julia finds joy in art and various sports, showcasing her diverse interests. A unique aspect of Julia is her strabismus, revealing the resilience and uniqueness that defines her character.

Julia's advice to incoming freshmen is simple yet profound – let go of things that don't matter, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing what truly adds value to one's high school experience. In parting words, Julia leaves a YOLO (You Only Live Once) reminder, encouraging everyone to seize the opportunities and make the most of their high school journey.

In expressing her gratitude, Julia extends heartfelt thanks to the Tri-Valley staff for their warm welcome and treating her like family after transferring.

As Julia Mauszycki embarks on her journey beyond high school, her legacy of academic excellence, leadership, and athletic prowess will undoubtedly resonate within the Tri-Valley community. We extend our heartfelt wishes to Julia, hoping her future endeavors are filled with success and fulfillment. Isaac Nehlich

As Isaac Nehlich prepares to embark on the next chapter of his life, let's look at his high school journey that was a blend of accomplishments, challenges, and cherished moments. From the early triumphs on the wrestling match to the leadership roles on the football field, Isaac's story is one of growth and resilience.

 Isaac has been actively involved in various clubs and sports, including FBLA, wrestling, football, and track. His leadership roles as the football team captain and wrestling team captain highlight his commitment to both academics and athletics. Mrs. Munson's health class left a lasting impact on Isaac. The engaging lessons and supportive environment made the class not only informative but also enjoyable.

Isaac's achievements on the football field, including being a 3-time Dak12 All-Conference player and receiving SD All-State and Academic All-State honors, showcase his dedication and skill. Additionally, his wrestling accomplishments, such as being a 4-time state qualifier and 3-time state placer, speak volumes about his athletic prowess. Winning a playoff game and reaching the state wrestling competition are standout moments that Isaac holds dear, reflecting his competitive spirit and determination.

Yet, it wasn't all smooth sailing. Isaac faced the challenge of multiple knee injuries, a testament to the trials that peppered his high school years. However, his resilience shone through as he continued to excel both academically and athletically.

Isaac plans to continue his education at SDSU, embarking on the path towards his goal of a career in pharmacy. In five years, Isaac sees himself finishing college and working in pharmacy in Sioux Falls.

Outside of school, Isaac enjoys lifting weights, MMA, and online gaming. Isaac's favorite book is the Bible, reflecting his values and beliefs.

Isaac's advice to incoming freshmen is short yet profound: "It's not that deep." A reminder to keep perspective and enjoy the high school experience.

Isaac extends heartfelt shout-outs to his family, Coach Gibson, Coach Bazata, Coach Peterson, Coach Snethen, Coach Mcgregor and God for their unwavering support throughout his high school journey.
