With an impressive GPA of 4.0, Emma's dedication to her studies has been unwavering. Her commitment to academic excellence culminated in her selection as co-valedictorian for the Class of 2024, a testament to her relentless pursuit of knowledge and achievement.

Among the many experiences that shaped Emma's high school years, her involvement in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) stands out prominently. Serving in various leadership roles within the organization, from Treasurer to Reporter and Historian, Emma demonstrated not only her organizational skills but also her capacity for teamwork and innovation.

Beyond the classroom, Emma's passion for entrepreneurship and baking propelled her towards her future aspirations. With dreams of opening her own bakery, she's set her sights on pursuing an entrepreneurship degree from Southeast Tech, a testament to her ambition and determination to turn her dreams into reality.

Despite facing challenges such as bullying and the loss of friendships, Emma's resilience and strength of character never wavered. She's a shining example of perseverance and self-empowerment, offering valuable advice to incoming freshmen to stand up for themselves and not rely on others for validation or support.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Emma finds joy in a variety of hobbies, from indulging in crafty activities to immersing herself in the culinary arts of baking and cooking. Her eclectic interests and zest for life make her a dynamic and well-rounded individual, poised for success in whatever endeavors she undertakes.

Emma would like to extend her sincere gratitude to her family, Mrs. Fluth and Mrs. Schroeder for their unwavering support and guidance throughout her high school journey. Their mentorship and encouragement have played a pivotal role in shaping her academic and personal growth, and she is immensely grateful for their dedication.

Reese Smith

Introducing Reese Smith, a senior who has left a lasting impression on our school community through his involvement in various activities and his commitment to personal growth. Throughout his high school journey, Reese has exemplified leadership, dedication, and a passion for both academics and extracurriculars.

One of Reese's standout experiences was his time with Mrs. Stroh, his advisory teacher during freshman and sophomore years. Mrs. Stroh's influence extended beyond the classroom, as she provided unwavering support and guidance, making a lasting impact on Reese's life. Her teaching prowess and genuine care for her students created an environment where everyone felt valued and understood.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Reese has been actively involved in extracurricular activities such as Student Council, FBLA, Football, One Act Play, and Fall Play. Serving as the Junior Class Vice President of the Student Council, Reese demonstrated his leadership skills and commitment to enhancing the school community.

On the football field, Reese found not only a sport but a platform for personal growth and camaraderie. His senior year, Reese was named Honorable Mention All-State and Elite 45 Honorable Mention. His dedication to the team and his contributions as a kicker have left a lasting impression, making football one of his most cherished high school experiences.

Beyond his school commitments, Reese has also engaged in community service, volunteering his time at food drives and assisting his church with various events. Despite the challenges of balancing academics, extracurriculars, and community service, Reese has navigated his high school years with resilience and determination.

As Reese looks ahead to the future, his aspirations span the realms of aviation and exercise science. Whether flying airplanes, owning a business, or supporting athletes as a trainer, Reese's ambition and drive are bound to lead him to success.

Outside of school, Reese enjoys a variety of hobbies including hunting, fishing, gaming, skiing, sports, and music. His love for adventure and the outdoors reflects his adventurous spirit and zest for life.

Reese extends heartfelt thanks to his parents, Denise and Brock, his brother Riley and sister Elaina, and Mrs. Stroh and God for their invaluable contributions to his growth and experiences. He would also like to thank the friends that welcomed him with open arms freshman year after he moved to Tri-Valley from Montana. All of these people have been instrumental in shaping his path, and he looks forward to carrying their lessons with him as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey.

Summer Van Der Vliet

But her impact extends far beyond the classroom walls.

One of the defining moments of Summer's high school experience was her sophomore year STEM class with Mrs. Stroh. Here, she found herself immersed in the challenges of building various architectures, relishing every opportunity to stretch her problem-solving skills. Beyond the academic rigors, it was the sense of community fostered within the class that truly made it memorable for Summer. Outside of academics, Summer has been a shining star in the realm of extracurricular activities. From representing her school on the volleyball court to taking on leadership roles in organizations like the National Honor Society (NHS) and HOSA, she has exemplified dedication and perseverance in all her endeavors. Volunteering at organizations like LifeScape, Feeding South Dakota, and Humboldts Got Heart, she has shown a profound compassion for those in need. After graduation, Summer is determined to pursue her passion for healthcare by enrolling at SDSU to study Respiratory Care. In five years, Summer plans to be actively contributing to the healthcare field, and making a positive impact on the lives of others. Additionally, she hopes to establish roots in her chosen community.

To incoming freshmen embarking on their own high school odyssey, Summer offers words of wisdom: Prioritize your studies, but don't forget to seize every opportunity to get involved and make lasting memories.
