Tyler has consistently shone bright in the classroom, earning accolades such as membership in the National Honor Society and regular placement on the A-Honor roll.

Tyler's passion for learning extends far beyond the confines of textbooks and lectures. He fondly recalls his most cherished class experience in 5th Grade with Mrs. Bergh, where he not only gained knowledge but also developed a lifelong love for learning, thanks to her engaging teaching style and captivating reading sessions.

Looking towards the future, Tyler's aspirations are both ambitious and focused. He plans to pursue a double major in Precision Agriculture and Agronomy at South Dakota State University, with a minor in Agricultural Business. With dreams of delving into sales, drone application, and data mapping, Tyler's career path reflects his dedication to innovation and advancement in the agricultural sector.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Tyler has been actively involved in extracurricular activities, including FFA, Student Council, football, baseball, track, and wrestling. His leadership roles within these organizations, such as FFA President and Junior Class President, underscore his commitment to serving his school and community.

One of Tyler's most cherished moments was when he became the first overall individual Agronomy State Champion. This achievement not only showcased his dedication and expertise but also etched his name in the school's history.

Tyler's commitment to service is equally impressive, as evidenced by his involvement in volunteering with organizations like Feeding South Dakota and participating in community projects through FFA initiatives. His passion for giving back reflects his belief in the importance of making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Sam Carlson

Introducing Samantha Carlson, affectionately known as Sam, a shining example of academic excellence and extracurricular involvement. Throughout her high school journey, Sam has consistently demonstrated her dedication to both her studies and her community.

One of Sam's most notable achievements is her consistent placement on the A honor roll, a testament to her hard work and commitment to academic excellence. However, her impact extends far beyond the classroom. Sam has been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including FFA, Volleyball, Archery, and Track. Her enthusiasm and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and she has become an integral part of each of these teams.

Among the plethora of experiences Sam has had during her high school years, one that stands out is the bus ride to the national FFA competition. It was a moment of camaraderie and laughter, reflecting the close-knit community fostered by Sam and her peers within the organization. Additionally, her involvement in community service, particularly through volunteering for FFA, showcases her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the school walls.

Nolan Schmidt

Introducing Nolan Schmidt, a standout senior whose journey through high school has been marked by academic achievements, leadership roles, and a commitment to both his school and community. With a passion for agriculture and a drive for success, Nolan's presence had been felt at Tri-Valley High School.

Throughout his high school career, Nolan has excelled both inside and outside the classroom. As a dedicated member of the FFA, he has showcased his leadership abilities serving as the South Dakota FFA District 7 Sentinel and as the Tri-Valley FFA Chapter Vice President. His involvement in FFA not only allowed him to develop his leadership skills but also provided opportunities to engage in meaningful community service projects such as the Annual FFA ditch cleanup and Santa days in Colton. Nolan fondly recalls the camaraderie and excitement of traveling to Oklahoma for National Land Judging, where he had the opportunity to meet new people and explore different parts of the country.

On the field, Nolan has been a force to be reckoned with as a member of the football and baseball teams, earning recognition for his dedication and sportsmanship. One of Nolan's most cherished memories from high school includes the exhilarating experience of winning a playoff football game, a triumph that hadn't been achieved in quite some time. His commitment to athletics, coupled with his academic achievements, demonstrates his ability to balance multiple responsibilities and excel in all areas of his high school experience.

Beyond his academic and athletic pursuits, Nolan has also found time to pursue his passions outside of school. Whether it's hanging out with friends, snowmobiling, or indulging in his hobby of collecting highly detailed farm toys, Nolan approaches life with enthusiasm and a zest for adventure.

Through his high school journey, Nolan has learned the importance of staying organized and managing time effectively. His advice to incoming freshmen is simple yet impactful: Always prioritize completing homework and assignments on time, as this sets the foundation for success in both academics and extracurricular activities.

Looking ahead, Nolan plans to continue his academic journey at SDSU, where he will pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian through the Pre-Vet Program. With his determination, leadership skills, and passion for agriculture, there is no doubt that Nolan will make a lasting impact in his chosen field.
